A Randomized Double-blind Controlled Study
2014- A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of adults previously diagnosed with mild to moderate acne vulgaris was performed. Subjects were randomized to the study agent, a pantothenic acid-based dietary supplement, or a placebo for 12 weeks (endpoint), 48 participants.
Saftey and Efficacy of Pantothenic Acid
2012- An open-label, single arm study of healthy adults who had been previously diagnosed with mild to moderate acne vulgaris was performed, 11 participants.
Zinc Levels and Efficacy of Zinc Treatments in Acne
2020- Subjects with acne had significantly lower serum zinc levels compared to controls. Patients who were treated with zinc had a significant improvement in mean inflammatory papule count compared to those who were not treated with zinc.
